Old Crow Sci Fi Vehicles

Howdy,

While taking pictures of my shanty town, I was looking through my box of Old Crow sci fi vehicles. I really like these models, so I decided to break them out and take some pics.

Here they are painted up to go with my Pig Iron Kolony Militia and Ferals seen here. These were also used in a game here.

Tubal Cain. Masonic references abound in my sci fi forces...

More Masonic references.

Shanty Town, Generator, and Power Pylon.

The shanty town is really coming together. I only have two more smaller buildings to convert and paint and it should be complete. After that I want to work up a bunch of incidental terrain pieces to go with it: barricades of scrap metal, catwalks, rusted burn barrels, crates and boxes, etc.

Here are some pics of the buildings together in a scene to give an idea of what the end result should look like. I am going for a really cramped and fortified town look for this. I might end up needing to make more buildings from scratch to expand the town and do some walls as well. But that's for another day...

Here are some pics:

Here are some pics of the power generator and power pylon I built. If they look familiar it is because they are made to look like the Quantum Gothic generator and pylon. I made these because at the time they had been out of business and I was unable to buy them. I liked the design so much I decided to build them myself. Apparently they are now back in business again. I hope to pick up their generator now that it is available again to add to mine. Mine is much bigger than the one they offered because I had a plastic container that was the perfect shape...just bigger.

Here they are:

Here is my pylon in raw plastic before I painted it:

More to come!

Ruined Buildings

Quick update on the Warhammer 40,000 terrain project. I just finished up a few ruined buildings made from Armorcast's Terraform range of ruined building parts. I have 3 already painted that need to be photographed and 3 more that need to be put on bases and detailed. Next, I want to pick up some of their modular stucco range to make non ruined versions of these. I had a bunch of them many years ago but sold them...now I wish I hadn't. They are really nice kits. These ruins are the same ones I bought years ago as well, but I kept in various forms of completeness. I originally had them on bases like this, but then pulled them apart and kept them separate so I could move them around in any configuration I wanted. The problem was they never looked quite right on the table without bases, so I rebuilt them. They are meant to be generic enough to use for modern historical gaming all the way to the 41st millennium.

The floors are removable to allow models to be placed inside. I also picked up several packs of Plastruct O scale stairs to add to these. They never came with any way of getting from one floor to the next so I will have to improvise.

Shanty Fort

Hello,

It's been a while since I had a chance to work on projects and post. I recently finished the shanty fort I had started on a few weeks ago. I decided to go with a different color this time to add variety to the shanty town. I'm not sure if I like the color or not. Anyway, here are the pics of the finished product.
